Wonder walls Bookings 'off the scale' at holiday let seen on Oasis No 1

When Tim Collis wanted to move back to his native Derbyshire with his husband, Ryan Phelps, they had no idea that the railway station they were buying was a piece of Britpop history that featured on the cover of Oasis's first UK No 1 hit.

After seeing Cromford station online, they fell in love it with it.

"It's a very architecturally beautiful house," Collis said. While they thought it was out of their budget, their property in north London sold for more than expected, and in 2007 they were able to buy the house with its adjoining cottage.

It was only when they viewed the Grade-II-listed property and saw a framed record hanging on the wall that Collis, who works in digital services, and Phelps, who works for a charity, had put two and two together. "It was my generation," Collis said. "I remember all the big stuff like Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova, Don't Look Back in Anger."
