Out of the radio and on to the stage: The Archers goes on tour
The Guardian
|December 27, 2025
People have been tuning in to rural tales from the village of Ambridge for 75 years, but now the characters of BBC Radio 4's The Archers are going on tour in the first show if its kind.
Borsetshire's favourite soap opera, the world's longest-running drama, is making its way to the stage as a "live theatrical experience" set at the Ambridge Flower and Produce show.
There, fans will be able to take part in a pub quiz at the Bull, grill a BBC archivist with deep-cut trivia questions and sing along to the show's jaunty theme tune.
The comedian Angela Barnes will host the live show and each performance will feature a rotating cast of Archers actors, to be announced early next year.
