Chaos from flooding after month's rain falls in a day

Flooding has led to travel chaos, school closures and submerged roads and homes in central and southern England, after some areas saw more than a month's worth of rain in 24 hours yesterday.
The London fire brigade said it received hundreds of calls about flooding-related incidents, including people needing rescue from cars and homes, while a huge sinkhole appeared on the pitch at Cherry Red Records Stadium in Wimbledon.
