DC Budgam flags-off ECI's ‘Democracy on Wheels' Van for enhanced electoral participation & awareness

In a first of its kind mobile initiative, the 'Democracy on Wheels' Election Van, under the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme was tuesday flagged-off from Government Degree College, Budgam under the flagship outreach campaign of the Election Commission of India.

The Van, flagged-off by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam Akshay Labroo, marks a unique addition to the electoral process, which blends accessibility with innovation.

This event was initiated under the supervision of Chief Electoral Office J&K, J&K Bank & District Administration, Budgam

The Election Vanity Van is set to traverse across both urban and rural areas, carrying with it registration forms and electronic devices besides powerful messages of civic responsibility, democratic values, and equal representation.
