Window of transfer opportunity to come

Current expectations are that Boro will look to make around three or four signings this month after planning with new head coach Kim Hellberg.

Currently second in the Championship table, it's recognised that a little extra quality could be pivotal in taking their promotion opportunity this season.

Of course, if new players are to arrive, it's equally important that others leave.

Boro's squad is currently at its maximum capacity as far as the league's registration rules are concerned, while there is also a need to balance the books financially.

Nevertheless, an ambitious window has been planned, with Hellberg previously describing himself as excited by the vision.

So what areas might Boro look to strengthen?
