Sue, 62, in coma after Ibiza fall left her in fight for her life

A BELOVED Teesside grandmother is fighting for her life following a fall in Ibiza.

For almost a month, Sue Adams has been in an induced coma in an intensive care unit at one of the hospitals on the island.

Her devoted husband Ray, 67, is by her side, but the family say the future is looking uncertain.

The retired carers, who now live in Loftus, but spent most of their married life in Normanby, had saved up for six months for their holiday on the beautiful Spanish Balearic island.

But, just a day into their break at the end of August, Ray heard a noise when his wife got up to go to the toilet at 4am so he decided to go and check on her.

The dad-of-two found Sue, 62, unresponsive and lying unconscious on the bathroom floor with a swollen, bruised right eye.

She began to convulse and was rushed to hospital. Medics found a fracture on her face and her lower back.

Sue, who was born and bred in Hartlepool, was placed in an induced coma and has been sedated ever since.
