Stalker sent fake police emails to victim saying he was ‘dead’ and ‘it was her fault’

A SPURNED stalker sent repeated messages to a woman claiming he was dead after she refused a second date.

Gary Enticknap, 49, threatened to share an intimate photo of her and said he couldn’t “get rid of the urge to hurt her”.

He then declared his love for the victim. Enticknap also sent emails pretending to be from the police, which said that his body had been found and it was her fault.

When his victim wasn’t convinced, he told her he had HIV and that he was going “to ruin her life”.

He later sent a photo of a train track, saying: “This is where I feel like jumping for the way I've treated you.”

Teesside Crown Court heard Enticknap subjected the woman to “seven days of misery and fear” after she declined the second date.

The woman met him after they had chatted on a dating app for just over three weeks. She had no idea that notorious Enticknap has a criminal history for controlling prostitutes.

On Tuesday, Jenny Haigh, prosecuting, told the court that the woman spent the night before she went home the next day. Enticknap asked to see her again, but the woman said she “wasn’t sure”.

Enticknap shouted down the phone that she was “p****** him about” and she hung up.

He kept ringing and ringing and, later that night, the court heard he apologised.

“The woman thanked him,’ Ms Haigh said. “She said, ‘let’s leave it at that”
