DYNAMIC displays from teenagers Ace Pijper and Cooper Rushen could not prevent Middlesbrough suffering a third narrow away defeat this month at Oxford.

Pijper carried on where he left off on Friday, for Championship Redcar, by adding a fine 12+ to his 7+4 at the higher level.

Cooper Rushen, just 15 and the sport's current sensation, included four race wins and was only denied a full maximum when his electrical cut-out came adrift whilst leading heat one.
