She managed to pull her mask off and said 'I love you'... that was the last thing she ever said

'I love you' were the last words a Teesside mum managed to say to her husband before losing a month-long battle with leukemia, aged just 33.

Devoted mum of four children, Chayde Osborne, had only been feeling poorly for 10 days before she was diagnosed on May 1 this year.

She began chemotherapy at James Cook University Hospital and husband, Aaron, said specialists were hopeful of a positive outcome. However, Chayde, a former carer, contracted an infection which caused sepsis and she was taken into hospital.

Heartbroken Aaron, 35, said medics managed to treat the sepsis, but it was then found she had two blood clots.

Chayde went into cardiac arrest and her family were told they needed to come and say their goodbyes. He said the whole thing happened so fast and everyone is still in shock.
