A DEVELOPER is seeking views on major plans for a key regeneration site. The 54-acre Teeslink site would be adjacent to Durham Lane Industrial Park in Eaglescliffe.

Regeneration site could create up to a thousand jobs

The empty site was bought by Stockton Council in July 2021 using £2.8m from the Tees Valley Combined Authority's Indigenous Growth Fund (IGF).

Rula Developments was announced as its preferred developer for the land in March 2024.

It now wants to hear the views of residents about the first phase of the plans. A hybrid planning application has been drawn up which would agree in detail vehicle, cycle and pedestrian access to the site, including the extension of the existing estate road and surface water drainage improvements to accommodate a first phase of development.

It says “development plateaus” would be created by levelling the site to make it “oven-ready” for future employment space as part of a first phase.
