DUO FILMED FLY-TIPPING ARE ORDERED TO PAY FINES
A PAIR of ‘recyclers’ were caught dumping up to 30 black bags of commercial waste into residential bins near a back alley.
Hartlepool’s Ian Rumble, who owns a recycling company, and coworker Carl Timlin were caught via CCTV offloading the waste into other people’s bins in Middlesbrough and hauled before the court.
The duo had posed as legitimate recyclers, but were filmed fly-tipping the bags and reported to the authorities. Middlesbrough Council’s Environmental Neighbourhood Safety Team was called in following the report of fly-tipping on September 9 last year, in an alley behind Tennyson Street off Linthorpe Road.
