Pilgrims pin hopes on key man Edwards

PLYMOUTH Argyle will be without three key players for their trip to Middlesbrough, but are boosted by the return of Joe Edwards, whom Miron Muslic described as critical for their chances.

The veteran returned from injury in the second half of last weekend's victory over Sheffield United, helping to inspire a huge comeback victory for the Pilgrims. It leaves them just three points from safety with four games remaining, leaving them with plenty to fight for this afternoon.

The captain is expected to start his first game for Plymouth since suffering a hamstring injury in October. Muslic told sister site Plymouth Live: "I will start him. That's not a secret, that's almost obvious after the last performance. We can take advantage out of not only his performance but his leadership and experience.
