REDCAR MP IS REMEMBERED 20 YEARS ON FROM HER DEATH

FORMER Redcar MP Mo Mowlam was remembered yesterday, 20 years on from her death.

The former Cabinet Minister was one of the most influential political figures of modern British history.

Known for her honesty, humour and down-to-earth spirit, she remains a cherished figure in Redcar and across the country.

Serving as MP for Redcar from 1987 to 2001, Mo brought a rare blend of compassion and courage to her work.

She held senior Cabinet positions, including Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, and was central to the negotiations that led to the Good Friday Agreement, a legacy of peace that still endures today.

But in Redcar her memory is defined by personal warmth and an unwavering commitment to her constituents.
