2025 Fastest 50 overall winner Elite Energy
FROM digital marketing and IT solutions to clean energy, the region's fastest growing companies are creating new opportunities, driving investment and helping to shape a more connected and sustainable regional economy.
We asked several Ward Hadaway North East Fastest 50 companies how being based in Teesside has helped fuel their success, what opportunities they see ahead and what's needed to maintain momentum.
Lee Bramley, executive partner in Ward Hadaway's Teesside office, also shares his thoughts on how the region's businesses can continue to build on this growth.
What's behind your recent growth and how much of that success comes from being based in Teesside?
At Outrank, a Middlesbrough-based digital marketing agency ranked 14th in this year's Fastest 50 list, growth has come from focus and reinvestment.
"Outrank has grown from a small local team into a national digital agency, but our roots are firmly here," says Stephen Robinson, CEO. "We've rebuilt our operations, invested in technology and training and built a people-first culture that drives performance. This is reflected in our 94% client-retention rate and inclusion in the Sunday Times Top 100 Businesses list. Teesside's creativity and ambition have been key to that journey."
For Razorblue, which provides IT solutions to businesses across the UK and is ranked 24th in list, growth has come from marrying innovation with service excellence.
