'I'm scared to let my cats out... Dobby's killer is still out there'

A MUM and her children have been left distraught after their beloved family cat was shot with an air rifle in Stockton.

Sadly, four-year-old Dobby was put to sleep following a two-hour operation where vets tried but were unable to remove the air rifle bullet from inside the kind-natured cat's skull. Nicole Presho-Bell says she wants to warn other pet owners as she fears the person responsible may strike again.

"Our cat went missing on Friday and we had a letter through from a gentleman who lived down the street that he'd seen a post on Facebook about a cat injured in Aiskew Grove," said Nicole. When they tracked down the last sighting of Dobby, they were told he was struggling to walk.
