Hammer The Hammer to win the Stewards’ Cup

The Gazette

AMMER The Hammer can secure victory in the Coral Stewards’ Cup (Heritage Handicap) (3.05pm) on final day of the 2025 Qatar Glorious Goodwood Festival this afternoon.

Hammer The Hammer to win the Stewards’ Cup

Kevin Ryan’s three-year-old can land the prestigious six-furlong sprint on the fifth day of the Glorious meeting in West Sussex.

Hammer The Hammer is a progressive young sprinter who could easily develop into a Group-class performer. And he can prove that to come out on top in the always-competitive Stewards’ Cup.

Hammer The Hammer has progressed well this season having run just twice as a juvenile, finishing fourth and second at Ayr and Doncaster respectively.

He was second again on his seasonal return at Southwell over five furlongs in February before shedding his maiden tag at the same all-weather venue the following month.

Then on his handicap debut off mark of 80 in March, he scored a wide-margin win back at Southwell when stepped back up to six furlongs.

Hammer The Hammer was even more impressive when landing a six-furlong handicap at Chester’s May Festival despite having to come from a wide draw in stall 10.

He was then a decent second dropped down to the minimum distance again when a length behind Adrestia - who was second earlier in the week at Goodwood - in the Palace of Holyroodhouse Stakes Handicap at Royal Ascot in June.

Hammer The Hammer looks at his best over six furlongs and still appears on a good handicap mark.

As long as his low draw in stall four doesn’t prove an obstacle, Hammer The Hammer can come out on top and land his biggest career success so far.
