Funds for family hub are welcomed

STOCKTON will receive more than £137,000 to develop a “one-stop shop” for parents and families.

The funding of £137,362 will be used for the town to develop a “Best Start Family Hub’ bringing together support for early years development, mental health, breastfeeding, housing and parenting advice.
The plans were announced on Tuesday, for every community to have access to a hub by 2026, intended to ensure families can easily access help close to home.
Chris McDonald, Labour MP for Stockton North, welcomed the new government investment into family and community services to Stockton.
