Charity's appeal for help after robbery

The minibus stolen from the Stokesley and District Community Care Association

A CHARITY supporting elderly and disabled residents is appealing for help to get back on the road after callous thieves snatched a community minibus.

The thieves struck on the night of Wednesday, October 1, taking the bus from the Stokesley and District Community Care Association car park at North Road in the town.

It was later recovered by Cleveland Police at The Southern Cross pub in Middlesbrough.

The bus, which was found with false plates attached, had been damaged by the thieves. North Yorkshire Police is investigating the theft but, as yet, not arrests have been made.
