Centre offers a lifeline for struggling veterans

Morgan House in Boosebeck, offers veterans a raft of support

A NEWLY-OPENED specialist centre for struggling veterans is already proving to be a haven for the first cohort of residents.

Morgan House was opened just a few weeks ago to aid armed forces veterans on their road to recovery.

The unit in Boosbeck, was named in honour of former Guisborough soldier, Sam Morgan, who tragically took his own life in December last year whilst suffering from PTSD.

An ex-Royal Marine Commando, the dad-of-three had completed three tours of duty in Afghanistan, but faced significant challenges when he left the forces.

His family say he struggled to find the essential support he needed.

Not for profit veteran support organisation, Healthier Heroes CIC, has created Morgan House, a vital new service dedicated to supporting veterans and those transitioning from the military who are in need of housing and additional support.
