A LABOUR councillor has resigned due to ill health.

Darlington borough councillor Amanda Riley has represented the Redhall and Lingfield ward since being elected in 2023.
The Labour member was elected for the first time in May 2023 and was immediately promoted to the council cabinet as portfolio holder for Stronger Communities. However, she stepped back from the role in November 2024 to prioritise her family and work commitments.
