UCLM stuns SHS-Ateneo

The University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue (UCLM) Baby Webmasters shocked the four-time defending champions Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles, 71-64, in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) Season 25 basketball tournament on Sunday, October 12, at the New Cebu Coliseum.

UCLM never looked back after sprinting to an early 15-6 lead, which it stretched to 11 points, 66-55, in the final six minutes on the way to grab the temporary lead in the juniors division with a 3-1 win-loss card.

Noe Lingoste paced UCLM with 12 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and a steal.

Angel Edielon Cayobit produced a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Wade Adam Luche chipped in 10 points with four rebounds and two assists for the winning side.
