The Student Council Alliance of the Philippines (SCAP) welcomed the emergence of a stronger and more united democratic opposition following the recent mid-term elections.

In the wake of Vice President Sara Duterte's successful impeachment by the House of Representatives, SCAP expressed its full support for the inclusion of incoming Akbayan Partylist Representative Atty. Chel Diokno and incoming Mamamayang Liberal (ML) Partylist Representative Atty. Leila de Lima, in the official House impeachment prosecution panel.
