SSS set to roll out historic Pension Reform Program

In a landmark move aimed at enriching the lives of millions of retirees, the Social Security System (SSS) announced the rollout of a Pension Reform Program (PRP) starting September 2025, the first of a three-year increase of pension in the agency's 68-year history.

The program, approved by the Social Security Commission (SSC) through Resolution No. 340-s.2025, will implement a structured three-year increase in pensions for all types of pensioners.

According to SSS, the increases will be implemented in annual tranches every September for three consecutive years:

1. September 2025 (for pensioners as of August 31, 2025), which is a 10 percent increase for Retirement and Disability Pensioners and a five percent increase for Death/Survivor Pensioners;
