Private sector told: Support immunization efforts against measles, rubella

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has issued Labor Advisory No. 02, Series of 2026, urging private-sector employers to support the government’s nationwide Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA).

The advisory, signed by Labor Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma, aims to help ensure the successful implementation of the Department of Health’s vaccination campaign for children aged 6 to 59 months.
The MR-SIA was first rolled out in Mindanao and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) from January 19 to February 13, 2026, and will be distributed in Luzon and the Visayas in June 2026.
The advisory applies to all privatesector employers, particularly those with employees who have young children eligible for vaccination.
