The Philippines’ gross international reserves (GIR) increased in September 2025, driven by higher global gold prices, income from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ (BSP) investments, and foreign currency deposits made by the national government with the BSP.

Preliminary data from the central bank showed that the country’s GIR went up from US$107.1 billion at the end of August 2025 to US$108.8 billion at the end of September 2025.
