As the Commission on Elections (Comelec) resumes voter registration, long lines have formed in Mandaue City, especially now that all types of registration are open from October 20, 2025, until May 18, 2026.

Comelec Mandaue election officer Anna Fleur Gujilde said the ongoing registration covers all categories, including new registration, transfer of registration, reactivation of records, correction of entries, and registration for Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) voters.

"Unlike atong August nga registration nga wala 'tay transfer, karon mao man g'yud na ang pangutana kung naa ba 'tay transfer, so naa 'tay transfer," Gujilde said.

“Ang transfer pwede outside Mandaue City to Mandaue City, or within Mandaue City from isa ka barangay to another barangay, so atoa ng gi-cater,” she added.

During the August 1 to 10 registration, at least 7,000 new voters were registered in just 10 days. But as of Monday, October 21, 2025, around 521 registrants had already been served, with more people continuing to come.
