Majority of pro- impeachment congressmen were re-elected

Contrary to popular belief, candidates endorsed by Vice President Sara Duterte did not sweep the recent elections, as statistics show that a significant majority-86.9 percent of lawmakers who signed the impeachment complaint against her were successfully re-elected.

“Just to set the record straight, these results dismantle the narrative that the impeachment was a political liability.

What we're seeing is a public that values courage over complicity. The people have drawn the line - and they stood with us,” said Assistant Majority Leader Jude Acidre.

Acidre, who chairs the House committee on overseas workers affairs, cited that out of the 115 House members who physically signed the impeachment complaint, 100 secured reelection—an overwhelming majority.

The remaining 100 lawmakers—given that 215 congressmen in total signed the complaint, with 25 more expressing interest in doing soeither completed their three-term limit or ran for other positions such as governor or mayor.
