GCash rolls out digital IPO subscription

As retail participation in the Philippine capital market gathers momentum, GCash is rolling out a new IPO (Initial Public Offering) subscription feature on its in-app trading platform GStocks PH, in partnership with AB Capital Securities, Inc., allowing everyday Filipinos to directly invest in upcoming public offerings.

Launching from October 23 to 29 to coincide with the Maynilad IPO, the new feature will enable verified GCash users to subscribe to initial share offerings through a fully digital process—marking a significant step in democratizing access to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).

Traditionally, joining an IPO has been a fragmented and opaque process for retail investors, often involving manual forms, uncertain allocations, and transactions outside a broker’s main platform.

GCash aims to change that by offering an end-to-end investing experience—from account opening to funding and IPO subscription—entirely within the app.
