DA offers loan for young farmers
The Freeman
|July 18, 2025
To spark youth-led agricultural innovation, the Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC), an agency under the Department of Agriculture, announced it is offering a loan program tailored for young farmers.
-
Food security adviser to Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro, former Agriculture secretary Manny Piñol, revealed that the ACPC is now opening access to financing for graduates of agriculture and animal science who are keen to launch agricultural enterprises but lack the startup capital.
“One of the least known but very effective agencies under the Department of Agriculture, the Agricultural Credit Policy Council, is offering financing support for young farmers granted through conduit rural banks, credit cooperatives or registered non-government organizations (NGOs),” Pinol said in a post.
