City signs MOA for ₱20/kilo rice

Cebu City has formally entered into a partnership with Food Terminal Inc. (FTI) to implement the P20 Rice Project, a national initiative under the Department of Agriculture’s Rice-for-All Program.

During the Memorandum of Agreement signing, Mayor Nestor Archival emphasized the program’s alignment with national priorities.

“Every family in Cebu deserves rice they can afford. Karon, gisugdan nato ang pag-push sa P20-per kilo rice program, agi’g pagsanong sa programa ni Presidente Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. 2022, aron masiguro nga makadawat ang atong mga kabarangayan og bugas nga barato,” he said.

Archival signed the MOA in the presence of Councilor Jun Alcover, his staff member Chito Aragon, and Benjie Clark Bala, Visayas Rice Program manager of FTI.
