Cebu City eyes zero-bill scheme for the poorest

Following his appearance at an event in Ormoc attended by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival Sr. announced his intention to implement a zero-billing scheme in the city's hospitals that aims to benefit the sector on poorest of the poor.

Last Monday, Archival joined other mayors during the distribution of Medical Patient Transport Vehicles in Ormoc City, an event spearheaded by the president himself.

According to Archival, it was during this event when Marcos reiterated his goal of ensuring that the poorest of the poor will have zero billing in health services.

In Cebu City, Archival said he still needs to study the possibility, including the specific qualifications of those who can avail of the program and the processes that would need to be implemented.
