DELAY IN THE RELEASE OF UNIFORMS

- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol/IHM

Cebu City Councilor Pastor “Jun” Alcover Jr. has called out the local government for the non-release of uniforms for City Hall employees, despite automatic salary deductions that were made earlier this year.

In line with this, the council approved a move that requires the Human Resource Development Office (HRDO) to submit a formal written explanation detailing the reasons for the delay, the procurement status, the timeline for release, and measures to address employees who paid for uniforms but are no longer in service.

This measure was approved after Alcover stood before the council to highlight an issue that, to him, goes beyond logistics and touches on employee welfare, financial fairness, and government transparency.
