Capitol reorganizes, reviews performance of 3K workers

The Cebu provincial government is in the middle of a reorganization process that will determine the future of more than 3,000 Capitol workers.

This is part of a three-month performance review, which Governor Pamela Baricuatro initiated upon her assumption of office.

Provincial Information Office (PIO) head Ainjeliz dela Torre-Orong confirmed that department heads have already submitted their assessments and recommendations regarding their respective personnel. She said this will serve as the basis of the ongoing reorganization.

The provincial government currently employs 3,417 workers, broken down as follows: 733 permanent staff, 292 casual employees, 233 co-terminus workers, and a significant bulk of 2,138 job order (JO) workers.
