John Lester Belano and Arena FIDE Master Nathaniel Runez emerged as champions of the 3rd RPM Chess Championships at the GMall of Cebu over the weekend.

Belano tallied the highest output of 5.5 points to reign supreme in the Masters category. He went home P7,000 richer.
International Master Kim Steven Yap, Bhell Ortiz and Ronald Ganzon figured in a three-way tie with 5.0 points each but Yap went on to pocket the P5,000 second prize courtesy of a higher tiebreaker.
Ortiz and Ganzon received P3,000 and P2,000 for finishing third and fourth, respectively.
