Archival orders release of HEA within the week

Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival has directed the City Health Department (CHD) to finalize its listings so the long-delayed Health Emergency Allowance (HEA) for doctors, nurses, and barangay health workers can be released simultaneously within the week.

Aside from expediting bonuses for City Hall employees, Archival’s latest move zeroes in on the HEA, a national program mandated under Republic Act 11712 and Department of Health guidelines to compensate health frontliners for their service during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Ako silang(CHD) gi-request nga humana ni para before Friday, ma-release na to,” Archival said during his regular press conference at City Hall.
