Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival marked his 100-day in office by outlining his accomplishments, laying down his projections that fell short, and by sharing the realizations he made upon taking over a governance structure that continues to challenge his leadership.

In a modest event attended by a few guests, Archival delivered his first 100-day report inside Cebu City Hall. While the original plan was to hold the event at a more formal venue, Archival opted to hold it at the City Hall to minimize costs and conserve city funds.

The report was anchored on his 10-point agenda and the list of campaign promises he presented before being elected. Archival said the agenda helped him narrow down priority issues that concerned the public most. One of these was traffic congestion. Within his first 100 days, he said several areas, particularly Talamban, Banilad, and Bulacao, have experienced improved traffic flow following coordination with the Provincial Government.

Archival also highlighted inspections and negotiations involving Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) projects. These projects, which have recently been the subject of national scrutiny due to alleged anomalies and delays, were reviewed by the local government to ensure accountability.

Reflecting on his early months in office, Archival noted a significant contrast between his planned vision and the reality of governance. One of the main obstacles, he said, is funding.
