Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival issued an executive order (EO) imposing a liquor ban in public areas within a 100-meter radius of the testing site for the three-day 2025 Bar Examination.

- Iris Hazel Mascardo/RAE

Through its Public Information Office (PIO), the Cebu City government yesterday released a copy of the EO, which will apply on the days of the Bar Exam, which are on September 7 (Sunday), 10 (Wednesday), and 14 (Sunday).

The Supreme Court of the Philippines has designated the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Basak Campus in Cebu City as the local testing site for the 2025 Bar Examination.

The Executive Order states that the city government is committed to the successful conduct of the 2025 Bar Examinations and will impose a liquor ban as requested by the Supreme Court to ensure order during the event.
