Al-powered forecasting tools to aid climate-smart farming

Agrilever, a Philippine agritech firm focused on smallholder rice farmers, has partnered with global weather intelligence company Tomorrow.io to roll out hyperlocal, Al-powered forecasting tools aimed at helping the farm sector manage climate risks and lift productivity.

The tie-up comes as the Philippines ranks among the world’s most climate-vulnerable countries.

GermanWatch’s Climate Risk Index ranks the country seventh worldwide for exposure to extreme weather over the past 30 years, highlighting growing pressure on agriculture from stronger and more frequent storms.

Under the partnership, Agrilever is integrating Tomorrow.io’s weather intelligence into platforms used by farmers and government agencies, delivering real-time forecasts on rainfall, wind speed and flood risks.

The data is designed to support faster response times, better asset protection and more informed decisions before and during severe weather events.
