Special Task Force to monitor govt hosps

As promised, the state government on Tuesday issued a notification to form a Special Task Force to take care of the security issues of government hospitals, doctors and also patients.

The STF will comprise the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, West Bengal police DG, Rajeev Kumar, two senior resident doctors, two resident junior doctors and a woman medical student.

This task force will oversee the overall infrastructure of the hospitals including security, installation of CCTV cameras, separate wash and rest rooms of the doctors and will also check that better services are provided to the patients.
