MSRDC gets nod to raise land loan for 3 key infra projects

State cabinet has scrapped penal action initiated by the revenue machinery for use of secondary minerals in Mumbai Nagpur Samruddhi Expressway
The Maharashtra Cabinet on Thursday gave nod to the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) to raise a loan of R$35,629 crore for land acquisition in a slew of transport infrastructure projects, with the state government being the guarantor. Initially, the MSRDC will raise Rs5,640 crore from HUDCO.
The budgetary provisions will be made to repay the loan and the interest thereon. The Cabinet also approved loan payment through the proceeds from the sale of plots by the MSRDC. The tenure of this loan will be 15 years.
