Andhra Pradesh witnessed a major development push on Thursday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for arecord Rs 13,430 crore worth of projects across power, roads, railways, industrial, petroleum and defence sectors.

The massive announcement came during the ‘Super GST - Super Savings’ public meeting held at Kurnool, where the Prime Minister hailed the state’s unprecedented progress under the double-engine government of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.

The Prime Minister declared that Andhra Pradesh was racing ahead because “Delhi and Amaravati are working together in perfect coordination.” He credited the past 16 months of joint governance between the Centre and the state for transforming Andhra Pradesh into one of India’s fastest-growing economies.

“Under the visionary leadership of Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan, Andhra Pradesh has received strong and stable leadership,” Modi said, opening his address with a warm “Namaskaram to my Telugu brothers and sisters.” He added that Andhra Pradesh’s_ development is vital to India’s mission of becoming a developed nation by 2047, calling the state a powerhouse of talent, technology, and innovation.

PM Modi devoted a significant part of his speech to Rayalaseema’s transformation, asserting that “Andhra Pradesh cannot progress without the growth of Rayalaseema.”
