Zubeen poisoned in Singapore, alleges arrested bandmate

In a dramatic twist to the investigation into the death of popular singer Zubeen Garg, his band drummer, Shekhar Jyoti Goswami, has made a shocking allegation: he claims the singer was poisoned by his manager, Siddharth Sharma, and festival organiser, Shyamkanu Mahanta.

Garg died on September 19 in Singapore while swimming at sea, where he was attending the NorthEast India Festival. According to a highly sensitive "Detailed Grounds of Arrest" or remand note accessed by PTI, Goswami alleged a "conspiracy" to make Garg’s death appear accidental.Crucially, Goswami claimed that as Garg was struggling in the sea, almost drowning, Sharma was heard shouting, "Jabo de, jabo de” (let him go, let him go).
