World-class Film City ecosystem to kick off in a year

FICCI Frames begins in Mumbai; spotlights innovation, government support, and partnerships to boost India's media and entertainment industry

The 25th edition of FICCI Frames, India's top media and entertainment event, began on Tuesday at The Fairmont Hotel near Sahar air terminal.

The event brings together over 3,000 people from the film, TV, digital, and creative sectors, including government officials, business leaders, and artists. This year's theme is 'RISE Together - Reimagine, Innovate, Strengthen, Empower'.

The opening day featured an important talk between Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and actor Akshay Kumar, on how Maharashtra continues to play a key role in shaping India's film and entertainment industry. The CM also shared the state government's plans to support and grow this creative sector.

The CM announced that the Film City project, which remained unexecuted in his last tenure, will be implemented this time and turned into a world-class film ecosystem. He said this transformation would begin within a year.
