The off-screen period has been viewed by insiders as a cautious medical interlude

- HD Bureau

Malayalam cinema stalwart Mammootty will rejoin the film set on October 1 after a multi-month medical hiatus, producer Anto Joseph announced.

The shoot resumes in Hyderabad, at the Ramoji Rao Film City, for the much-anticipated film Patriot.

Joseph's social media post described the break in production as “overcome by the strength of prayers and fortitude,” signalling both gratitude and renewed momentum for the project. The film, directed by Mahesh Narayanan, had completed approximately 60 percent of shooting before work paused for the actor’s convalescence.
