Gold Smuggling Case
Kannada actor Ranya Rao's stepfather, Ramchandra Rao, a DGP-rank officer in Karnataka, has been questioned in the gold smuggling case involving his daughter.
The inquiry, by a team led by IAS officer Gaurav Gupta, focused on allegations Rao misused his position to facilitate the smuggling operation. His statement was recorded.
The probe is progressing swiftly, with the report expected to be submitted to the government in two days.
