Police arrest four

A history-sheeter was stabbed to death on Friday evening in Sanjay Gandhi Nagar, Pimpri- Chinchwad, in what police said was an escalation of a rivalry between two groups aspiring to gain criminal dominance.

Four accused have been arrested; three were held on Saturday and one on Sunday morning.

The arrested accused are Prem, alias Premya Prakash Dongare (18, Pimpri); Jassu Manjeet Pal (18, Pimpri); Ishaan Raosaheb Borude (19, Pimpri); and Sanket Nanasaheb Choudhari (22, Kalewadi). The deceased has been identified as Shakib Chhotu Shaikh (25). A case was filed by his brother, Akib Chhotu Shaikh (29, Pimpri), at Pimpri Police Station.
