For more than 20 years, the heirs of Mohiddin Nawaz Khan, also known as Babasaheb bin Ghouse Khan, have been waiting for compensation for their family’s land acquired for the Anandapuram tank area in Bengaluru’s Chamarajpet Assembly constituency.

- NT Correspondent

Covering just over two acres, the land was acquired by the Karnataka Slum Development Board (KSDB) under the provisions of the Board Act, with the state government formally notifying the acquisition on March 19, 2001.

Despite the official acquisition, the family has not received any payment, prompting the heirs to submit a formal compensation request on October 6, 2022.
