EC to resist: Destist from Al deepfakes to flay opponents

The Election Commission on Thursday flagged the threat of political parties using AIgenerated deepfakes to attack their opponents in the upcoming Bihar election.

In an advisory on Thursday, the EC advised the parties against misuse of artificial intelligence-based tools to create deep fakes that distort information or propagate misinformation over social media, emphasising the need to uphold the integrity of the electoral process.
