Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has firmly rejected any proposal to cede territory to Russia, resisting mounting pressure from the US administration for a compromise.

In a WhatsApp interaction late Monday, he said Russia continues to demand territorial concessions, but Kyiv “doesn’t want to give up anything,” citing Ukraine's constitution, international law and a “moral right” to defend its land.
