Doctors stress on awareness to rise premature survival rates

Ahead of the World Premature Day on November 17, Doctors across the city emphasize the awareness of the ‘equipmental treatments to save the premature babies. They also advise on understanding where to seek help for quick medical care and making healthy lifestyle choices right from the young age for prevention of the issue.

Dr. Nitasha Bagga, Consultant Neonatologist at Rainbow Children’s Hospital and Founder of Extra Mile Foundation, emphasizes that the situation today is very different from years ago. “We now have advanced treatments at many hospitals, and everyone must understand that premature babies can be definitely saved with proper observation, care, and treatment especially in India’, she added.
